Support from our local government is crucial to making lasting change in our community. We are happy to have the support of the County Board of Supervisors for Food Vision 2030.
Supervisor Dianne Jacobs | District 2
The impact of COVID-19 has brought home the importance of having a healthy and sustainable food system that works for all San Diego County residents. It’s critical that we develop a more resilient system to better withstand future challenges, and Food Vision 2030 will help us get there.
Supervisor Kristin Gaspar | District 3
Our region and nation are grappling with a global pandemic of unprecedented magnitude that has had catastrophic impacts to our national food system. These impacts have further demonstrated the immediate need to strengthen our local food system and build our region’s capacity to feed our most vulnerable residents through strategic collaboration and enhanced coordination. It is imperative that through this strategic planning process, we create a shared vision for our region that recognizes the diversity of the County’s Live Well San Diego partnerships and works to build and leverage innovative partnerships to better reach and serve our residents.
